In your case, it's happening because you selected BMD video in the gamma field; raw gamma settings are no longer available with that choice. You're not using either RCM or ACEs. Clips with speed changes will not decompose (menu item greyed out). Sometimes, I can force conform the clip from the Media Pool, and that will take care of the situation, sometimes when I try to do that, the clip on the timeline turns in to a still frame which is very odd.
